Husum Highlands Bed & Breakfast is an elegantly furnished Victorian located in a beautiful 20-acre country setting with sweeping views of Mt Hood and the White Salmon River Valley, in the Columbia Gorge area east of Portland and just north of Hood River, Oregon.
Decorated in period style with antique furniture and fixtures, high ceilings, wood floors, wood windows and trim, and Oriental carpeting, Husum Highlands provides a quietly luxurious atmosphere for your getaway, wedding, reunion, or retreat. Complimentary seasonal fruit is available in the lobby.
Our four guest rooms with private baths are decorated in Victorian and Country themes. All rooms include private bathroom, telephone, TV/VCR, air-conditioning, and refrigerators.
Breakfast is served next to the pot-bellied stove in the country kitchen with its wood-beamed ceiling, or in the spacious dining room, or sitting on the deck viewing Mount Hood and the White Salmon River Valley.
Our grounds include lawns, gardens, a gazebo, a pond, and a waterfall. Our garden areas are filled with herbs, vegetables, flowers, shrubs, and ornamental trees, and are sprinkled with inviting spots for sitting. Surrounding them are meadow, pasture, and woodland. A hammock in a forest hideaway invites pleasant relaxation.
Our lovely house, beautiful grounds, and stunning view of the White Salmon River Valley and Mt Hood make Husum Highlands one of thetruly outstanding outdoor wedding sites of the Columbia Gorge area (and, indeed, the Pacific Northwest).
Should you care to venture out, a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor activities and events can be found throughout the Columbia River Gorge, Mt Adams, Husum Valley, White Salmon River, Hood River Valley, and Mt Hood areas.
